As everyone is aware, our region is being affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. For several days now I have done almost nothing other than field calls from clients who are concerned about what is happening and what they can and should do with regard to their employees. In addition, I’m sure that Dave Durrett has been fielding calls regarding rent and lease issues, Susan King has been handling questions and the other attorneys in our office been dealing with worker’s comp questions . . . all related to COVID-19.
The reason that we have not posted information on the websites until now is because the situation is fluid and changes, not only day-to-day, but hour-to-hour. There has also been no actual legislation passed that we can refer our clients to for assistance. Instead, the attorneys and staff at Young, Molohan, Cohen & Durrett have, and will remain, accessible to our clients throughout this difficult time. Now that Sacramento County has issued a “shelter-at-home order” we will either be in our office and/or operating remotely where we will be able to access emails and phone calls from clients and will get back to you as soon as possible. At no time will this office or The Employer’s Council be “shut down” as we consider our service to you to be essential.
Rather than trying to provide generic commentary and/or links to governmental websites, I believe it is better for us to respond in person as we have always done and we will continue to provide personal and responsive service to our clients.
